Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Consultant Ecologist in Cheltenham to join a supportive consultancy. You will undertake habitat and protected species surveys, prepare technical reports (PEAs and EcIA), and support Biodiversity Net Gain delivery. You will liaise with clients and stakeholders, and help manage projects from inception to completion.

Qualifications

• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related subject.
• Previous ecological consultancy experience.
• Strong survey and report writing skills.
• Knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

As a Consultant Ecologist, you will undertake a range of habitat and protected species surveys, prepare technical reports including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and Ecological Impact Assessments, support Biodiversity Net Gain delivery, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and assist in managing projects from inception through to completion.
