Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Senior Ecologist to lead ecological surveys, manage projects from inception to completion, and produce technical reports including PEAs, EcIAs and protected species reports.

You will mentor junior staff, contribute to Biodiversity Net Gain delivery, and ensure projects are completed to a high technical standard. This permanent role offers hybrid working and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or related discipline.
• Significant ecological consultancy experience.
• Strong project management and report writing skills.
• Protected species survey experience and knowledge of UK wildlife legislation.
• Membership of CIEEM (or working towards).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Living in or near Cheltenham.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead ecological surveys and manage projects from inception to completion.
