Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon to join the GI Unit at Salisbury District Hospital. The post offers 10 programmed activities per week (8.5 Direct Clinical Care, 1.5 Supporting Professional Activities) including CPD, audit, teaching and appraisal.

The successful candidate will have broad general surgical experience with specialist colorectal training and will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop and improve colorectal services at

Formación

• CCT in General Surgery or equivalent and entry onto GMC Specialist Register
• Full GMC registration with licence to practise
• Advanced laparoscopic surgery experience
• JAG accreditation in Lower GI Endoscopy
• Sub-specialist interest in Rectal Cancer and IBD Surgery

Responsabilidades

• Undertake outpatient sessions at Salisbury District Hospital outpatient department
• Undertake operating sessions in main theatres and day surgery
• Provide on‑call general surgery cover on a 1:10 basis
• Support colorectal patients and contribute to endoscopy activity
• Contribute to teaching, audit, CPD and appraisal within the department
• Engage in clinical governance and department management
