Job summary

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a 12-month Registrar in General Surgery (Colorectal Interest Desirable) at ST5+ level. The post offers broad exposure to complex GI and colorectal pathology within a high-volume tertiary centre, with a supportive, academically active environment and full participation in service delivery and training.

The successful candidate must hold or be eligible for GMC registration at the start of the post, and be prepared for a 1 in 9

Qualifications

• Experience in General Surgery; colorectal interest welcomed but not essential.
• Must hold (or be eligible for) GMC registration at start of the post.
• Strong operative and peri-operative decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Commitment to training and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 1 in 9 on-call rota and contribute to General Surgery service.
• Gain exposure to complex GI and colorectal pathology in a high-volume centre.
• Engage in training and service development within a supportive academic environment.
