We invite applications for a Consultant Clinical Scientist (Radiation Protection Adviser and Medical Physics Expert) to join our dynamic team within the Department of Clinical Physics and Bioengineering. The section offers ionising and non-ionising radiation protection, as well as Medical Physics Expert services in Diagnostic Radiology.
The successful candidate will participate in delivering and developing radiation protection services across hospitals in the West and Borders of Scotland, leading education and training programs, including collaborations with the University of Glasgow.
Applicants should hold a good honours Degree in Physical Sciences, completed a formal training program in medical physics equivalent to NSHCS STP or SMPCETS, be registered as a Clinical Scientist with HCPC, and hold current certificates of competence from RPA2000 as a Radiation Protection Advisor (RPA) and Medical Physics Expert (MPE). Strong management and communication skills are also required.
