A healthcare organization in Birmingham is seeking a qualified consultant psychologist to lead a service addressing the mental health needs of individuals managed by Counter Terrorism officers. The role involves case oversight, service development support, and autonomous work within professional guidelines. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and leadership experience in multidisciplinary teams. A significant emphasis on collaboration across agencies is critical for this position.
The consultant psychologist will work with the hub clinical lead, consultant psychologists, consultant psychiatrists, team lead, mental health practitioners and police colleagues to develop and deliver a service that addresses the mental health needs of individuals who are managed by Counter Terrorism case officers, thereby mitigating Counter Terrorism risk and improving the mental well‑being of those individuals. The post holder will provide consultant leadership of the hub team, along with the other consultant psychologists and psychiatrists, and support the hub clinical lead and national clinical lead.
Role based at CCS Central in Birmingham, located at a police building (B37). Requires a security clearance to SC; the clearance process may take in excess of four months from application submission.
