Job summary

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Anaesthetist to deliver high-quality care across Pilgrim Hospital and other sites. The role includes on-call duties, teaching, training and contributing to service development within a busy 7-day model.

The successful applicant will lead perioperative care, participate in governance and work towards improving patient flow in a supportive, patient-centred environment.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration is required.
• FRCA or equivalent qualification.
• Entry on specialist register (or within 6 months of CCT).
• UK registration is expected for practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver anaesthetic care for elective and emergency patients with safe monitoring.
• Pre-assess operating lists and optimise theatre utilisation.
• Provide consultation and advice across the multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in on-call rota and rotate across sites.
• Lead in the development of anaesthetic guidelines and pathways.
