Join to apply for the Consultant Anaesthetist role at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

We are seeking a new substantive Consultant Anaesthetist to join our friendly and proactive department at Ipswich Hospital, part of ESNEFT. This post has been developed to expand our permanent workforce and to bring new consultants following retirements. We are also reforming obstetric facilities and expanding our main theatre suite with new and refurbished theatres. Our department is supportive, and we are looking for a long-term colleague who can contribute their skills and attributes.

The initial job plan will involve specialties such as major general/urology, orthopaedics/trauma surgery. Details will be negotiated upon acceptance. Those with specialist interests aligned with service development are encouraged to adapt their job plan as opportunities arise.

The post is based at Ipswich Hospital, with potential future sessions at Colchester Hospital. It includes non-resident on-call duties in theatres and obstetric anaesthetic services.
