Job summary

Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics is seeking an experienced Construction Work Pack Engineer to join our team in the UK. The role focuses on developing and maintaining construction workpacks, ITPs, and Visual Task Sheets to ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with project requirements.

You will collaborate with construction, safety, engineering, and other stakeholders to deliver thorough workpack documentation, keeping records up to date and aligned with latest vendor and client

Qualifications

• Site-based experience as Workpack Engineer, Construction Engineer, or Project Engineer.
• Proven ability to develop and compile Construction Workpacks.
• Experience on major construction or engineering projects.
• Discipline-specific qualifications preferred with relevant trade/technical background.
• Strong understanding of engineering documentation and site execution requirements.
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and procedures in the industry.
• Experience developing and reviewing ITPs.
• Knowledge of quality assurance systems and processes.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and documentation quality.
• Proficient with IT and Microsoft Office; able to adapt to changing information.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed construction workpacks and related docs to support safe delivery.
• Prepare and maintain Construction Workpacks, ITPs, and Visual Task Sheets (VTS).
• Collaborate with construction, safety, engineering and other stakeholders.
• Ensure workpacks include drawings, specs, procedures, method statements and supporting docs.
• Keep workpacks updated with latest vendor/supplier guides and client information.
• Review and revise workpacks when new information becomes available.
• Maintain workpacks per review cycles and keep docs current.
• Implement and maintain QA processes for construction documentation.
• Ensure documentation complies with safety, environmental, quality and industry requirements.
• Maintain accurate records related to construction workpack docs.
• Identify and report issues to the Construction Manager.
• Support the construction team during planning and preparation.
• Review information to identify issues before site activities.
• Apply industry codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of workpack development and document control.
