Job summary

Chubb European Group SE UK Branch seeks a Construction Underwriter to grow a Contractors All Risks portfolio with brokers and clients in the UK. You will assess risk, set pricing within guidelines, and support product development and capacity deployment while ensuring underwriting integrity.

The role emphasises CAR/Construction market knowledge, strong broker relationships, and adherence to company standards and controls. ACII is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Good experience and understanding of the CAR/Construction market.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new business or renewals according to defined guidelines, budget and local plan.
• Assist in formulating underwriting strategy, forecasts and portfolio management.
• Prioritise and develop products within specialist CAR/Construction area to improve client retention and new business.
• Represent and promote Chubb to brokers and clients domestically and overseas; service key producers.
• Meet company standards for policy documentation, quoting timeframes and compliance.
• Maintain contact with internal colleagues and major clients and brokers.
