Job summary

SWRAC is recruiting a Construction Tutor for our Bootle Centre in Liverpool. You will deliver practical and classroom-based construction training to learners with diverse needs, planning engaging lessons to build vocational skills and employability for further training or employment.

You will work to create a safe, inclusive learning environment, monitoring progress and adapting methods to support individuals to grow independence and confidence in construction tasks.

Qualifications

Construction industry experience is essential.
Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills (Level 2 Maths & English).
Understanding of health and safety in construction.
Teaching qualification or willingness to train towards one.
Experience with SEND and vocational qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

Prepare course and training materials.
Plan and deliver construction lessons and practical activities.
Support learners to achieve learning goals and qualifications.
Develop health and safety awareness and employability skills.
Track learner progress and adapt methods for needs.
