Job summary

TSR Recruitment Limited is seeking a Traffic Marshall Gateman for a busy construction site in the Colchester area, starting Monday 17th August. You will directly marshal vehicles and plant, control site access, and coordinate movements with drivers and operatives on a long-term 18-month contract.

The role pays £16.00–£17.00 per hour, with 41 hours per week. Applicants must have a CSCS card and Traffic Marshall or Vehicle Banksman certification, along with the right to work and references.

Qualifications

• CSCS card and Traffic Marshall or Vehicle Banksman certificate required.
• Right to Work and proven experience as Traffic Marshall or Vehicle Banksman.
• References available on request and PPE must be worn on site.

Responsibilities

• Direct vehicles and plant safely around the site.
• Maintain site access control, logging in/out vehicles and visitors.
• Ensure delivery vehicles are guided onto and off-site safely.
• Communicate with site operatives and delivery drivers to coordinate movement.
• Monitor traffic flow to prevent congestion and accidents.
• Conduct basic security checks and prevent unauthorized access.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Keep the gate and surrounding area clean and hazard-free.
