Hugh Baird College seeks a Construction Technician to join its Professional Construction & Trades team at the Main Campus. You will support staff and students with hands-on learning, supervise workshop activities, and ensure equipment is safely managed.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 vocational qualification.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety in workshop settings.
• Experience with construction equipment in an educational or training environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth operation of construction workshops.
• Support lecturers and students with equipment, demonstrations, and practical tasks.
• Maintain and manage tools, materials, and resources.
• Promote health and safety and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
• Participate in open evenings, taster days, and other promotional events.
