Job summary

London South East Colleges is seeking a Construction & Built Environment Technician/Facilitator in Bexley. The role involves bringing industry experience into education, supporting apprentices to develop skills, confidence and safe working practices through hands-on guidance and practical sessions.

You will prepare resources, run workshops, and provide technical support across carpentry, maintenance, brickwork and plumbing, while promoting project work and safe working practices for students.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in a relevant construction discipline.
• Have practical, on-site experience in your trade.
• Broad working knowledge of construction or engineering topics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare resources in advance of practical sessions and maintain workshops and equipment.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to apprentices across carpentry, property maintenance, bricklaying and plumbing.
• Demonstrate materials, techniques and processes for projects and assessments.
• Support practical projects and assessments and help learners work safely and to a high standard.
• Contribute to creating engaging learning experiences for learners.
• Develop risk assessments and support training through regular trade-related development.
