Job summary

SP Electricity North West is seeking a Construction Team Leader to manage a team of Engineers and Coordinators, delivering customer connections projects and driving service, safety, and efficiency across the regional programme.

The ideal candidate holds an HNC in Electrical Engineering with experience in electrical distribution or construction projects, and can lead in a fast-paced environment while developing a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience of engineers and coordinators in a construction environment.
• Experience managing electrical distribution or construction projects.
• Strong planning, organisational and project management skills.
• Ability to manage stakeholders and handle customer expectations.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Engineers and Coordinators to deliver excellent project outcomes.
• Manage the successful delivery of the regional Business Connections construction programme.
• Ensure a seamless customer journey throughout the construction phase of projects.
• Monitor team performance, workload, risks, and project progress, taking action where required.
• Support the resolution of customer enquiries, complaints, and escalations.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, customers, and stakeholders.
• Identify training and development opportunities to enhance team capability.
• Produce management reports and performance information to support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, industry regulations, and company standards.
• Drive commercial performance and support effective budget management.
