Job description

Ringway Jacobs is offering an exciting opportunity for a proactive and skilled Team Leader to join the Construction team in Cheshire East.

As a key member of the team, you will report directly to the Construction Manager, overseeing the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of end-to-end highways improvement projects across the borough.

This role is vital in ensuring that supervisors, operatives, and supply chain partners are supported and empowered to carry out their work safely. You will lead a variety of activities, ensuring that all operational elements meet the required standards and align with the service’s policies and strategies.

Your responsibilities will include managing both major and minor projects, ensuring strict adherence to NEC contracts, and overseeing budgets and change management processes.

The Role

  • Carry out supervision of both self-delivery and SCP gangs to ensure that works are carried out safely and to the highest standard
  • Take ownership of recourse to ensure programmes are delivered to key milestones across the contract and to financial budgets
  • Take ownership of delivery to ensure work is carried out in accordance with Ringway Jacobs specifications and procedures
  • Ability to self-manage priorities and workload using agile/mobile working across the Cheshire East
  • Communicate daily with the drainage support team

About You

  • Good knowledge and application of design procedures, guidance and standards and good practice documents
  • Good knowledge of Construction, Design and Management regulations and application of Health and Safety legislation
  • Good Knowledge of and application of Highway Legislation
  • Previous experience of working with Highways Drainage is desirable but not essential
