Job summary

Nelson and Colne College Group is seeking a Lecturer for Professional Construction to lead the T Level in Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction. The post involves curriculum planning, employer engagement, and delivery across Accrington and Rossendale College sites.

The successful candidate will deliver T Level modules, build industry placements, and manage projects, with travel between sites and potential trainee-teacher pathways supported by the college.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above.
• A degree or higher in construction/architecture/surveying and design or similar.
• Experience of working in the sector and willingness to engage with schools and employers.
• A qualified teacher though we will consider an initial trainee post with strong industry background.
• Flexibility to teach in the evenings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver T Level Design, Surveying and Planning and Civil Engineering.
• Lead development of the curriculum plan for the T Level in Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction.
• Develop an employer network to support industry placements and employer-set projects for learners.
