Job summary

Combined Facilities Management in Mallusk is seeking a Construction Supervisor to coordinate operations, manage direct labour and subcontractors, and ensure safe, compliant delivery of all contract works. You will liaise with senior managers, planners and clients, maintain progress against KPIs, and drive continuous improvement while upholding the company values of commitment, focus and motivation.

Providing leadership on site, you’ll ensure documentation, schedule adherence and safety

Qualifications

  • IT literate with ability to use basic software for planning.
  • Proven experience in minor building and maintenance joinery.
  • Strong communication skills with customers.
  • Valid CSR Card.
  • Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate operations and manage direct labour and sub-contractors.
  • Ensure health and safety standards and complete H&S audits.
  • Central contact for senior managers and admin for service delivery.
  • Plan daily work with planners and allocate to subcontractors or staff.
  • Monitor job progress and report at daily huddles.

Location: Mallusk Depot

This is a permanent full-time, Northern Ireland based role working out of our Mallusk Depot. The Construction Supervisor will have responsibility and accountability for coordinating operations, managing direct labour and sub-contractors, whilst advocating safety standards, practices and protocols ensuring they are adhered to at all times. Success in the role will be ensuring all contract work is compliant, in line with client KPI requirements and internal targets to ensure excellent service delivery is achieved to specification, and within cost budgets. Duties include:

  • Assisting with the organising of jobs for the operations team; reviewing diaries, material requirements and all overall operational aspects of the contract daily
  • Responsible for ensuring Health and Safety standards and protocols are maintained with onsite teams, completing H&S audits, accident reporting and toolbox talk delivery
  • Central point of contact for Senior Managers along with administration personnel for all work/queries relating to service delivery
  • Daily communication with the operational Planners to enable effective work planning, ensuring flow of work instructions are allocated to appropriate sub-contractors or direct labour
  • Liaising with and managing sub-contractor relations, and performance ensuring quality and performance standards are being met in line with service delivery.
  • Ensure job numbers and progress is monitored & presented at Daily Huddles & that all works are completed on or ahead of target, requesting necessary variations or extensions in a timely manner
  • Tracking rejected jobs, investigating internally to provide information & explanation for job notes
  • Analysing work instruction and SOR’s to ensure correct codes are being issued, to ensure correct value of work ahead of works being signed off as complete
  • Attend all required meetings, ensuring that information for reporting is up to date and accurate
  • Provide leadership and direction to the operation teams within the depot, driving accountability and ensuring people process adherence at all times
  • Carry out thorough Pre & Post Inspection Surveys to agree measurements and application of SOR’s;
  • Liaising regularly with client Maintenance Officers on any queries or amended works
  • Ensure works are completed via operative PDA (Accumobile) and Orchard system is accurately updated with all relevant information being readily available for admin and QS’s
  • Provide support, guidance and training to direct labour & sub-contractor staff, including training of new staff
  • To perform the job in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures
  • Any other duties deemed necessary to ensure successful delivery of all works within the CFM workstream
Our Requirements:
Essential
  • IT Literate
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high level of experience and sound knowledge in the delivery of minor building and maintenance joinery services.
  • Have good communication skills to meet and deal with our customers
  • Valid CSR Card
  • Full driving licence
Preferred
  • Experience in social housing sector.
  • Have good communication skills to meet and deal with our customers
  • Previous experience in a Foreman/Supervisor Role
