Job Title: Construction Supervisor

Location: Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Tyne and Wear, United Kingdom

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee site activities, coordinate teams, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site management, health and safety, and construction processes.

Main Responsibilities

1. Site Planning: Develop and coordinate on-site project activities, resources, and milestones in collaboration with the Site Manager or Construction Manager.
2. Site Coordination and Monitoring: Oversee all on-site activities from receiving the site to handover, ensuring alignment with project specifications, quality, schedule, and safety requirements.
3. Stakeholder Relations: Maintain effective relationships with customers and local organizations.
4. Health, Safety, and Environment: Implement and enforce comprehensive HSE plans, promote safety culture, and ensure compliance with policies.
5. Equipment and Logistics: Manage handling, storage, and installation of equipment, coordinating logistics to ensure timely delivery.
6. Sub-contractors Management: Supervise subcontractors to meet quality standards and project deadlines.
7. Cost Management: Monitor and control site project costs, manage petty cash, and oversee local purchasing.
8. Documentation: Maintain accurate and updated project documentation and records.
9. People Management: Lead, motivate, and develop site personnel, ensuring proper staffing and training.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of site management, health and safety (OHS), environment, quality assurance, installation works, and basic commissioning and civil works.
