Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Peterborough is seeking an experienced Stores Person to manage materials, stock control, and deliveries at our Peterborough site. The role focuses on accurate inventory, safe storage, and timely issuance to construction crews.

You will drive company vehicles for deliveries, perform stock checks, maintain records, and uphold health and safety standards. A full driving licence and reliability are essential; knowledge of stock control systems is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores, warehouse, stock control, or construction materials management.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Understanding of stock control systems and inventory management.
• Full valid driving licence.
• Manual handling training (desirable).
• Construction-related health and safety qualification (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record deliveries of materials, tools, equipment and consumables.
• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory systems.
• Carry out regular stock checks and stocktakes.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
• Issue materials and equipment to site personnel and maintain records.
• Drive company vehicles to collect and deliver materials to sites and suppliers.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on schedule.
• Comply with health and safety policies and maintain a clean, organised stores environment.
