Job summary

QED Legal is seeking an experienced Construction Solicitor to join a major capital project on a 6-month FTC basis. The role involves providing practical, commercially minded legal support across construction contracts and project documentation, working directly with stakeholders and project teams.

You should be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales with solid construction law experience, including NEC contracts and bespoke agreements.

Qualifications

  • Qualified solicitor with solid construction law experience (England & Wales).
  • Experience with NEC contracts and bespoke construction agreements.
  • Experience supporting projects or major capital expenditure programmes.
  • Comfortable working directly with stakeholders and project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Advising on construction contracts and project documentation.
  • Working with NEC and bespoke construction contracts.
  • Supporting the project team with contractual issues as they arise.
  • Providing practical advice on contractual risk, obligations and project delivery.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders and other project professionals.
  • Dealing with contractors, suppliers and other external parties where required.
  • Supporting the business through the ongoing delivery of the project.
  • Providing ad hoc construction and contractual advice as required.
