Northumberland College is seeking a Lecturer & Programme Leader for Construction Skills (Plumbing, Joinery or Brickwork) based at Northumberland. The role blends teaching with leadership and curriculum development to inspire learners and ensure high-quality delivery.

Qualifications
- Level 3 construction related qualification.
- Level 2 English & Maths.
- Level 5 diploma in education is desirable but not essential.
- Minimum of two years industry experience.
- Certificate of criminal record check via DBS (suitable to work with children and young people).
Responsibilities
- Lead high-quality pre-entry, initial assessment and induction processes to ensure learners are placed on the right programme.
- Provide effective pastoral care, guidance and support throughout the learner journey, promoting positive progression.
- Monitor and support the progress and wellbeing of learners, including those with EHCPs or ALS needs.
- Lead and promote exemplary teaching, learning and assessment, ensuring curriculum content remains current and aligned with industry requirements.
- Monitor student attendance, behaviour, progress and engagement, and take interventions where required.
- Lead effective quality assurance and programme management, contribute to curriculum development and good practice.
