Job summary

Detail2 Limited seeks an experienced Construction Site Manager to lead on-site operations for a major construction project in York. You will coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring the construction programme is followed, safety standards are met, and quality is delivered on time.

The role requires strong site-management experience, ability to read drawings, and a valid SMSTS and CSCS card.

Qualifications

• Experience managing daily site operations and coordinating teams.
• Strong ability to plan and monitor construction programmes.
• Health & safety practices and compliance knowledge.
• SMSTS or equivalent site-management qualification is highly relevant.
• CSCS management-level card is required.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day site management and coordination
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders
• Planning and monitoring the construction programme
• Ensuring work is delivered to required quality, programme and safety standards
• Managing site logistics and sequencing of works
• Health & safety / site compliance
• Liaising with the wider project-management and construction teams
• Monitoring progress through to completion/handover
