Job summary

Persimmon seeks a Site Assistant Manager to support the Site Manager in delivering projects on time, to budget and to high quality standards. You will coordinate with third parties, maintain safety records and supervise subcontractors to achieve targets while aligning with Sales and Customer Care for prompt updates.

The role requires NHBC/LABC/Premier standards knowledge, HSE compliance and a valid UK driving licence, with NVQ4 in Construction Supervision preferred for development purposes.

Qualifications

• Experience in the house building industry is essential.
• Understanding of NHBC, LABC or Premier standards.
• Understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Current CSCS Card is required.
• SMSTS is preferred.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• NVQ Level 4 in Construction Site Supervision is desirable; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management of a construction site to finish on time, to specification and within safety regulations.
• Ensure quality and safety inspections meet group standards and are properly documented.
• Coordinate with external third-parties (warranty, authorities, utilities) to achieve build programme.
• Maintain accurate records (inductions, HSE, timesheets, incident reports, quality checklists).
• Ensure materials are called off timely and stored per guidelines.
• Supervise workforce and subcontractors to meet budget and quality targets.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Care to resolve issues and update plot progress.
• Ensure site workforce and visitors comply with HSE policy to minimise incidents.
