Job summary

Persimmon Homes is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the Site Manager in delivering a quality development on time and within budget. You will help oversee site operations, maintain records, and ensure safety and quality standards across activities.

The role requires a UK driving licence, CSCS card, and understanding of relevant health and safety legislation. Preference is given to candidates with SMSTS and NVQ Level 4 in Construction Site Supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience in house building is essential.
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• CSCS card held.
• SMSTS training preferred.
• NVQ Level 4 in Construction Site Supervision desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with management of the construction site to meet budgets and timelines.
• Ensure quality and safety inspections meet Group standards.
• Coordinate with external parties (warranty provider, authorities, utilities).
• Maintain records (inductions, HSE, timesheets, incident reports, checklists).
• Ensure materials called off timely and stored per guidelines.
• Supervise workforce and subcontractors to meet quality and budget targets.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Care to resolve issues and update plot progress.
• Ensure site workforce and visitors comply with HSE policy.
