Job summary

Addleshaw Goddard in London is seeking a 4-6 PQE non-contentious Construction Associate to join our market-leading team, working on major UK and international projects across energy, infrastructure and development sectors.

You will draft and negotiate JCT, NEC, FIDIC and bespoke contracts, manage client relationships and contribute to pitches, with early responsibility and long-term career prospects in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years' PQE in non-contentious construction law.
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction contracts (JCT, NEC, bespoke).
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines and maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support workstreams on major UK and international projects across energy, infrastructure, data centre and commercial development sectors.
• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of construction and engineering agreements, including JCT, NEC, FIDIC and bespoke contracts; professional appointments, collateral warranties and long-term operational agreements.
• Advise on strategic risk allocation and commercial issues for diverse clients, including developers, sponsors, funders and public bodies.
• Take ownership of matters from an early stage, manage own workstreams and develop strong client relationships.
• Contribute to business development, pitches and mentoring junior colleagues while developing team know-how and training resources.
