Thorn Baker Construction in Gloucestershire is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects from inception to handover. You will drive programmes, budgets, and procurement, coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, and consultants to deliver high-quality outcomes.

The role requires strong planning, cost control, and stakeholder management, with travel to project sites as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction sector.
• Strong understanding of project planning, programming, and cost control.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
• Commercial awareness and a results-driven approach.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Construction-related qualification (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent).
• Experience delivering commercial, industrial, retail, or fit-out projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from pre-construction through to final handover.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Monitor project performance and provide regular progress updates.
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Drive continuous improvement and best practice across project delivery.
