About Us and the Team
Investment Services are seeking a client-side Construction Project Manager to join their team. The post holder will deliver the Project Manager role, reporting to the Investment Services Manager, as part of Property Services within the Enabling Services business unit of the Resources Directorate.
The Investment Services team manages a demanding capital programme valued at £200Mn to £300Mn over several years, which must be delivered within strict time scales and budget constraints. The post holder should be an enthusiastic, dynamic individual with a positive attitude and proven construction management experience.
The responsibilities include managing large and complex construction projects within the capital programme, dealing with scheme viability, project assembly, legal and planning issues, and overall project management of contractors and external consultants to ensure successful delivery. A sound understanding of the entire development process is essential.
The role also involves assisting in the development of the section’s building procurement strategy and managing interfaces between professional disciplines, clients, and elected members, requiring excellent interpersonal skills.
