Job description

We are looking for a Construction Project Manager to lead a variety of key client-side projects from initiation to completion, including building fabric, facade repair and maintenance, public landscaping, and warehouse improvements. You will lead high-performing teams of contractors, consultants, and colleagues, ensuring projects are delivered within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters.

About The Role

You will be experienced in project design and planning, collaboration and coordination with designated teams, and delivery of results within deadlines and budget constraints. You will also oversee team members, set deadlines, assign tasks, and monitor each stage of project progress. Skilled in tracking progress, summarising results, and communicating with management, clients, and stakeholders, you will ensure project success.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Define project objectives and scope, identifying involved stakeholders.
2. Coordinate and lead planning sessions for project development and execution.
3. Create detailed programmes, project parameters, and budgets.
4. Assemble project teams and manage proposals for financial review via proper contractual mechanisms.
5. Document project activities, obstacles, costs, and outcomes.
6. Prepare funding requests with clear rationale.
7. Organise annual building fabric surveys to identify safety and watertightness issues, challenging design solutions to minimise business impact.
8. Conduct risk analyses to mitigate unforeseen obstacles and costs.
9. Measure project performance during execution.
10. Manage stakeholder expectations to maintain productive relationships.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying, Architectural Technology, or Construction Management.
• Experience in construction project management, preferably on the client side, overseeing complex projects.
• Project Management Professional with MAPM qualifications, working towards MRICS.
• Strong budget management skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Problem-solving, innovative thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Documentation and reporting skills.
• Conflict management and resolution skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards.
• Data analysis skills for project metrics and outcomes.
