Job summary

Boralex seeks an experienced Project Director, Construction to lead onshore wind and battery storage developments in the UK. You will oversee budget, schedule, and multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring delivery to high safety and sustainability standards.

Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is essential to drive projects through development to operations. The role requires ~5 years of construction leadership in large-scale projects, CSCS & SMSTS, and engineering discipline

Qualifications

Proven track record (~5 years relevant experience) of construction on projects over £50m, preferably in renewable energy.
Current CSCS card and SMSTS qualification.
IT skills – basic MS Office/Outlook/Adobe/BIM.
Ideally degree qualified in an engineering or related field with civil engineering experience.
MS Project skills and familiarity with project scheduling.

Responsibilities

Deliver the project in accordance with the agreed budget and programme.
Report to management on project progress, risks and decisions.
Take charge of projects under your responsibility (budget, risk register, planning, tender processes, meetings, invoicing).
Develop and maintain a healthy safety environment and leadership in HSE management.
Monitor HS&E compliance in line with CDM 2015 requirements.
Mobilise resources and ensure smooth transitions between project stages (development, construction, operations).
Negotiate technical aspects of purchase contracts with suppliers.
