Rogers McHugh Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Buyer in Oldham to support procurement activities for residential and education projects. You will learn procurement processes while working alongside an experienced Procurement Manager.

This hands-on role offers full training and development within construction procurement. The position is office-based, five days a week, with salary between £28,000 and £30,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, buying, construction, housebuilding, refurbishment or construction materials is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and develop within construction procurement.
• Ability to build relationships with suppliers and coordinate deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing materials and plant and obtaining supplier quotations.
• Assisting with supplier negotiations and raising purchase orders.
• Coordinating deliveries to support project programmes and tracking supplier performance.
