Job summary

Building Careers UK is seeking an experienced Construction Planner to support a portfolio of projects across the North West. The role involves developing and managing construction programmes from tender through to delivery, coordinating with pre-construction and operational teams to keep projects on track.

Responsibilities include preparing live project programmes, attending progress meetings, performing critical path analysis and producing recovery plans where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience producing and managing construction programmes.
• Strong planning and scheduling skills.
• Ability to identify risks and propose solutions.
• Excellent communication with site and management teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction programmes for live projects.
• Collaborate with Contracts Managers, Project Managers and site teams to develop realistic sequences.
• Monitor progress and identify delays or risks against plans.
• Produce programme updates, progress reports and recovery plans.
• Perform critical path analysis and assess impact of changes.
• Liaise with subcontractors to ensure achievable programme requirements.
• Attend site visits and progress meetings to review progress.
