Job summary

CNX Recruitment is seeking an experienced Construction Planner to join a Glasgow-based refurbishment and fit-out contractor. You will develop, monitor and maintain detailed construction programmes, coordinating with Project Managers, Site Managers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires strong planning expertise in refurbishment and fit-out projects, with proficiency in scheduling software such as Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner with a main contractor background.
• Experience in refurbishment, interior fit-out or general building projects.
• Strong knowledge of sequencing, critical path analysis, procurement planning.
• Experience using planning software such as Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6 or MSP.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed construction programmes, tender programmes and schedules from pre-construction through to completion.
• Establish realistic durations, milestones, critical paths and sequencing.
• Coordinate design, procurement, subcontractor activities and resources within programmes.
• Monitor progress, identify delays and risks; update programmes regularly.
• Work with Project Managers to develop recovery plans and mitigate delays.
• Plan refurbishment and fit-out activities, including enabling works and M&E installations.
