Job summary

PSR are recruiting an experienced Planner to join a delivery team on a large commercial project in Birmingham. You will develop and maintain schedules, collate information from stakeholders and drive the programme to meet milestones.

The role requires strong communication, risk assessment and proactive problem solving to keep the project on track. You will use industry-standard planning tools and collaborate closely with the construction team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Planner within the construction industry.
• Experience with new build projects, up to £100 million in value.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Qualification in construction management or related field.

Job DescriptionPSR are working with a contractor undertaking a large commercial project in the Northwest. The Contractor requires a Planner to get involved with a scheme in Birmingham. We are looking to recruit an experienced Planner to get involved with a live construction project. You will be an integral part of our client's delivery team. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging new build project, utilising your expertise and contributing to the successful planning and execution of a large commercial project.

Your Day-To-Day Duties:

• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring they align with project objectives and timelines
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather relevant information for accurate planning
• Conduct risk assessments and provide proactive solutions to mitigate potential delays
• Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing deviations from the schedule
• Work closely with the project team to ensure effective communication and coordination
• Utilise industry-leading planning software and tools to optimise project efficiency

• Proven experience as a Planner within the construction industry
• Strong understanding of new build projects, with exposure to projects valued up to £100 million
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant qualification in construction management or a related field
