Cavendish Nuclear at Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater, Somerset, is seeking a Construction Planner for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. This full‑time role sits in a major infrastructure programme and requires developing and maintaining detailed schedules to drive safe, predictable delivery.

Hybrid working patterns are available with around four days onsite and one day remote; collaboration with engineering, construction and supply teams to align progress with milestones and provide

Competenze

• 5+ years' planning experience in construction/engineering.
• Experience in creating and maintaining detailed project schedules and lookahead plans.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Site-based construction or engineering experience.
• Experience in maintenance/outage planning or project controls.

The role

As a Construction Planner Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, you'll play a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of critical construction activities on a nationally significant project. Working within a major engineering environment, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed construction schedules, ensuring progress is accurately measured and aligned with programme milestones.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team where your expertise will provide visibility of construction readiness, productivity, schedule risks and constraints, helping to drive safe, efficient and predictable project delivery. You'll collaborate with a range of stakeholders and gain valuable experience on a large-scale infrastructure programme that will enhance both your professional development and long-term career prospects within the defence, engineering and construction sectors.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

• Developing and maintaining detailed Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Level 5 construction schedules.
• Preparing and updating four-week lookahead plans aligned with programme milestones and delivery objectives.
• Integrating engineering, materials, access, resource, quality and commissioning requirements into construction schedules.
• Monitoring progress, tracking installed quantities and providing accurate, evidence-based schedule updates.
• Producing productivity, planned versus actual and progress performance reports to support informed decision-making.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at Hinkley Point C. Hybrid working patterns are available, with an expected onsite presence of four days per week and one day remote.

Essential experience of the Construction Planner Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning:

• At least five years' planning experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure or major project environments.
• Experience developing and maintaining detailed project schedules and lookahead plans.
• Experience using Primavera P6 planning software.
• Experience working within site-based construction or engineering environments.
• Experience in maintenance planning, outage planning, shutdown planning or project controls activities.

• Higher National Certificate in any Engineering discipline.
