Cavendish Nuclear is hiring a Construction Planner Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning for the Hinkley Point C site, Bridgwater. This full-time, hybrid role focuses on developing and maintaining detailed HVAC construction schedules to support the programme milestones and ensure safe, efficient delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of planning experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure or major projects.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain detailed project schedules and lookahead plans.
• Experience using Primavera P6 planning software.
• Experience in site-based construction or engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed HVAC construction schedules (Level 5).
• Prepare and update four-week lookahead plans aligned with milestones.
• Integrate engineering, materials, access, resource, quality and commissioning needs into schedules.
• Monitor progress, track quantities and provide evidence-based schedule updates.
• Produce productivity, planned vs. actual and progress reports to support decision-making.

The role

As a Construction Planner Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, you'll play a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of critical construction activities on a nationally significant project. Working within a major engineering environment, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed construction schedules, ensuring progress is accurately measured and aligned with programme milestones.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

• Developing and maintaining detailed Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Level 5 construction schedules.
• Preparing and updating four-week lookahead plans aligned with programme milestones and delivery objectives.
• Integrating engineering, materials, access, resource, quality and commissioning requirements into construction schedules.
• Monitoring progress, tracking installed quantities and providing accurate, evidence-based schedule updates.
• Producing productivity, planned versus actual and progress performance reports to support informed decision-making.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at Hinkley Point C. Hybrid working patterns are available, with an expected onsite presence of four days per week and one day remote.

Essential experience of the Construction Planner Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning:

• At least five years' planning experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure or major project environments.
• Experience developing and maintaining detailed project schedules and lookahead plans.
• Experience using Primavera P6 planning software.
• Experience working within site-based construction or engineering environments.
• Experience in maintenance planning, outage planning, shutdown planning or project controls activities.

• Higher National Certificate in any Engineering discipline.
