Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Lab Technician / Materials Tester in Aberdeen for a 6-month initial contract. The role covers laboratory and field testing of construction materials, with full training provided and regular overtime available to boost earnings.

Salary is £12.76ph–£14ph depending on experience, with 40 hours per week and overtime paid at enhanced rates. The position offers scope for training and development in a growing materials testing team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on background in construction materials testing or related field.
• Experience in site work, lab testing or similar is beneficial.
• Willingness to work both in the field and in the laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Test construction materials such as asphalt and aggregates.
• Perform field and laboratory-based testing as required.
• Follow training provided to ensure standards are met.
• Adhere to safety and quality procedures.
