Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a major project team working on a £350m new build multi-functional project near Basingstoke, Hampshire.

The project is well underway with 4 main buildings under construction and focus turning to the internal fit out. These buildings will provide extensive teaching space, offices, laboratories, research space, and a large engineering facility.

Reporting to a Senior Construction Manager and Project Manager for your building, you will be responsible for managing all construction activities within your assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• Management of trade sub-contractors
• Coordination of all site-based activities; holding daily activity briefings
• Health & Safety - review and agreement of RAMS; ensuring adherence to high standards of safe working practices at all times
• Ensure progress of construction against programme; resolving issues that could impact this and ensuring the supply chain has everything in place
• Quality Assurance - ensure construction work meets agreed and specified standards; record evidence of completed works at every stage using Fieldview
• Producing short-term look-ahead programmes; coordination with other managers; internal reporting on progress.
