Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an experienced freelance Construction Manager to lead a high-profile 200m CAT A/B fit-out project on a central London site. You will report to a Project Manager and drive safe, on-time delivery across 3–4 floors from shell to handover.

The role requires a proven track record with main contractors or fit-out specialists, strong leadership, and qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid at Work. Immediate start with a competitive day rate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering Cat A/B fit-out projects on large-scale sites.
• Demonstrated ability to lead on-site teams and subcontractors.
• Strong track record of on-time delivery while maintaining H&S standards.

The commercial fit out world has taken off in the last few weeks! One of my best customers has asked me to recruit for a Construction Manager based in the City of London.

About the role of Construction Manager

I'm Currently recruiting for an experienced freelance Construction Manager to work on a high-profile 200m project in Central London. It is an 11 floor CAT A and B fit out and we need a Construction Manager to deliver 3 / 4 floors from shell to handover, the contract will run until August 2027. You will report to a Project Manager based on site and your main responsibilities will be to run the fit out safely and on time.

Responsibilities for Construction Manager

• Lead & Manage day to day site operations
• Drive the programme and Sub-contraction coordination
• Ensure delivery of high-end finishes to a standard
• Maintain strict H&S compliance and quality standards

Requirements for Construction Manager

• Strong background working with reputable main contractors or fit-out specialists
• Strong leadership presence and ability to drive site performance
• Proven experience delivering Cat A/B fit-out ( 35m+ preferred)
• SMSTS
• CSCS Card
• First Aid at Work
