At Severn Trent, we're embarking on an exciting £415m project to replace 870 miles of old water pipes across the Midlands - and we want you to be part of it. This is the biggest investment in water infrastructure in the region in a decade and it is set to improve water quality, reduce leaks and make water supply more reliable for millions of people. The new pipes we are installing will last up to 100 years.

We are looking for a Network Construction Lead Operative to join our team and be responsible for managing significant, large scale construction activity across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
This role requires a 42-hour work week, Monday to Friday, starting at 7:30 AM and ending at 4:30 PM, with a half-hour early finish at 4:00 PM on Fridays.

What You’ll Bring to the Role:
The right candidate will have experience of working on Mains Renewal or mains laying schemes as well as safe digging, while coordinating activity and supporting a team, liaising with internal and external stakeholders in a construction environment.
You’ll have the ability to demonstrate awareness and practical experience of CDM Regulations, identify risks & opportunities, and be trained in Utility Avoidance and Location, Thrust Boring, Safe Digging and 360 Excavator below 10T. You should also have completed all NRSWA modules.
Additionally, knowledge and understanding of Mains Renewal processes, options, and associated risks is essential, along with the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a high-pressure environment, make prompt clear decisions, and possess excellent communication skills.
As travel is required, you’ll also need to hold a full U.K driving license.
