Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience handling employee relations cases and absence management.
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Ability to support recruitment, onboarding and appraisals.
• Strong record-keeping and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice for employee relations matters including absence management, disciplinary and performance issues.
• Support managers through formal meetings, including note taking.
• Manage absence cases and coordinate occupational health referrals.
• Advise on terms and conditions, flexible working, family leave and HR policies.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, including starters, leavers and absences.
• Assist with updating HR policies to reflect legislative changes.
• Support recruitment from interviews through onboarding.
• Ensure probationary processes align with company policy.
• Provide guidance on annual reviews.
• Assist leaver administration and maternity/paternity processes.
• Support learning and development initiatives and apprenticeships.
• Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement.
