Job summary

Placements24 seeks a vigilant Health and Safety Officer to ensure a safe working environment across construction sites in Randburg and surrounding areas. You will develop, implement, and enforce safety policies to minimise risks and ensure regulatory compliance.

We require a National Diploma in Safety Management, SACPCMP/SAIOSH registration, and at least 4 years in construction safety. The role offers a competitive salary, development opportunities and benefits focused on employee well-being.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Safety Management or equivalent.
• Registered with SACPCMP or SAIOSH (or equivalent).
• Minimum 4 years' experience in construction health and safety.
• Strong knowledge of SA health and safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain HSE management systems.
• Conduct site inspections and risk assessments.
• Develop and deliver safety training for site personnel.
• Investigate incidents and write detailed reports with corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and industry standards.
