Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor/Coordinator in the Southwest. You will support the Health & Safety Manager, travel across the region, and be based at the Chudleigh office with some weekly visits to Redruth. A company van and fuel card are provided.

This role is ideal for a recently NEBOSH-qualified candidate or a seasoned H&S professional seeking a construction-focused opportunity. Ongoing training and progression are available.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH qualification or currently studying with an exam date booked.
• Experience in construction, property maintenance or facilities management is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Providing H&S advice to managers and operatives.
• Carrying out H&S audits and site inspections.
• Preparing and reviewing RAMS and risk assessments.
• Delivering toolbox talks and staff inductions.
• Supporting accident and near-miss investigations.
• Maintaining H&S records and ensuring compliance.
• Supporting ISO and accreditation requirements.
• Monitoring COSHH, Asbestos, Working at Height and First Aid.
• Managing PPE requirements.
• Maintaining training matrix and arranging training.
• Supporting welfare and general H&S administration.
• Working with local authorities, housing associations and clients.
