Construction Foreman - Flood Defence & Site Lead

Job summary

Esh Group in Bowburn is seeking a Working Foreman to lead general construction tasks on site, ensuring work meets client expectations and that Health, Safety and Environmental policies are followed at all times. This role requires hands-on leadership on flood defence works and drainage installations.

You will work both independently and as part of a team, manage timesheets and site records, and support the site manager with reports and photographs.

Qualifications

• A valid UK driving licence – essential
• Confined space training – essential
• Environmental working experience - strongly preferred
• Street works qualifications – preferred
• Working in/near water – preferred
• SEATS – preferred
• SHEWCoP Experience - preferred

Responsibilities

• Installing flood defences to main rivers e.g. gabion baskets, rock armour, piling, clay flood banks etc
• Maintain floodwalls – e.g. Copings, re-pointing etc
• Installation of drains & ducts
• Install and maintain over-pumping systems
• Concreting & brickwork activities
• Reinstatement and landscaping experience
• Supporting the site manager by providing information via records, emails and photographs
• Excavation for structures including small scale piling works
• Laying ducts
• A good knowledge in TWs installation
• Ensure timesheets are submitted accurately and on time with excellent site records
• Able to navigate the use electronic devices to complete site documentation
• Adhere to company absence reporting procedure
• Work independently as well as part of a team
