Esh Civils in Bowburn is recruiting a dedicated Civils Engineer to provide setting out, technical guidance, and on-site support across a range of civil engineering projects.

You will work closely with site teams to ensure construction activities are delivered accurately, safely, and in line with design specifications, with responsibilities including potential short-term site manager duties and maintaining client records.

Qualifications

• Minimum HND or equivalent.
• Technical training certificates
• Proficiency of Microsoft packages
• Experience of LSS/N4CE survey packages desirable

Responsabilités

• Ensure accurate setting out and safe construction of works in accordance with contract documents and client requirements.
• Ensure technical compliance and safety of all operational activities.
• Possess ability to assume site manager role for short-term cover.
• Maintain and agree site records and as-built drawings with client representatives.
• Ensure full compliance with contractual requirements and Company Quality Management Systems.
• Provide accurate records and measurements to enable Monthly valuations by Quantity Surveyor.
• Demonstrate exceptional levels of customer care.

This role is based within Esh Civils which delivers infrastructure schemes of all sizes, including major capital projects. We work in partnership with local authorities throughout the North East, Tees Valley, Yorkshire and the Humber to deliver a variety of projects, including public realm, highways, flood alleviation, active travel and bridge works.

About the role

We are recruiting a dedicated and technically proficient Civils Engineer to provide effective setting out, technical guidance, and on-site support across a range of civil engineering projects. In this key role, you will work closely with site teams to ensure construction activities are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in line with design specifications. Your expertise will help drive quality, safety, and performance on site, contributing to the successful delivery of high-standard infrastructure works.
