Job summary

Fisher Civils Ltd in Portsmouth is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our civil engineering team. You will evaluate construction costs, prepare detailed estimates, and support tender submissions for a range of projects.

The role requires strong numerical ability, proficiency with estimation software, and the ability to coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors and project managers to ensure accurate, timely estimates.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost estimation for construction projects.
• Ability to prepare tender documents and analyse project requirements.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant qualification in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.
• Proficiency with estimation software and tools.
• Previous construction industry experience is a plus.

This is a full-time roll for an Estimator located in Portsmouth. The Estimator will be responsible for evaluating and preparing cost estimates for construction projects, analysing project requirements, liaising with suppliers and subcontractors, preparing tender documents, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role also includes coordinating with project managers to ensure accurate and timely completion of estimates.
