3Sixty Talent Management Ltd on behalf of an established client in commercial construction seeks an experienced Pre-Construction Estimator to join the Bedford team. You will help prepare accurate, competitive tenders and cost plans from early design through to tender submission, working with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.

You will review drawings, perform take-offs and cost analysis, and contribute to pre-construction planning for a varied portfolio of projects.

Pre-Construction Estimator

to join their team in Bedford.Our client delivers a wide range of projects across commercial construction, building services, fit-out, refurbishment, commercial interiors and electrical contracting.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator who enjoys being involved from the early stages of a project, working closely with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to produce accurate and competitive tenders.The successful candidate will play an important role in the pre-construction process, helping to ensure projects are accurately costed, commercially viable and ready for successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates and competitive tender submissions for commercial construction projects valued up to £250,000.

Skills and Experience Required

• We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of commercial construction estimating who can confidently manage the tendering process and work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.The ideal candidate will have:
• Proven experience in an Estimator or Pre-Construction Estimator position within commercial construction.
• A minimum NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Construction Contracting Operations (Estimating).
• Experience preparing estimates and managing the full tender submission process.
• The ability to interpret technical drawings and construction specifications.
• A good understanding of labour, material and subcontractor costs.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communication and negotiation skills.
• Good IT skills and the ability to learn internal estimating systems.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
