Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking a Pre-Construction Estimator for a Bedford-based role within a specialist commercial construction and building services provider. You will oversee estimating, budgeting and tender preparation to ensure accurate pricing for competitive submissions.

The successful candidate will analyse drawings, prepare estimates for projects up to £250,000, calculate labour and materials, liaise with clients and manage subcontractor quotations, with clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator within the commercial construction sector.
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Construction Contracting Operations (Estimating).
• Experience managing estimates and the full tender submission process.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good IT literacy.

Responsibilities

Location: Bedford Office

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience

Job Purpose

The Pre-Construction Estimator will oversee estimating, budgeting and tender preparation for commercial construction projects, ensuring accurate pricing and competitive submissions.
