VG Charles & Co in Manchester seeks an associate with 2+ years’ PQE in contentious construction law to join a highly regarded construction disputes team. You will advise developers, contractors, public bodies, investors and registered providers on a range of disputes and related advisory matters.

You will work on adjudication, mediation, litigation and pre-action protocols, with exposure to major development and infrastructure projects and potential international matters.

Competenze

• At least 2 years’ PQE in contentious construction law.
• Experience with adjudication, mediation, construction litigation and related dispute resolution procedures.
• Excellent drafting, communication and analytical skills.
• Commercially minded with strong client service and relationship-building.

Mansioni

• Advise on construction and engineering disputes for developers, contractors, public bodies and investors.
• Manage and support claims arising from complex construction projects.
• Assist with disputes under pre-action protocols for construction and engineering disputes.
• Advise on contractual interpretation, risk allocation and dispute avoidance.
• Identify practical, commercially focused solutions for contentious issues.
• Support matters involving major development, infrastructure, regeneration and mixed-use projects.
• Build strong relationships with clients and other advisers.
• Contribute to business development and growth of the practice.
