Job summary

Marmion Ltd seeks a Construction Dispute Resolution Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our Leeds office. The role involves hands-on project work across the UK, offering strategic advice and strong client engagement in a growing practice.

Ideal candidates will have extensive construction/engineering experience, with knowledge of dispute resolution and contract law. UK residency with full working rights is required; visa sponsorship cannot be offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Law or related field.
• MRICS qualification or working toward chartership.
• 3–5 years’ post-degree experience in a similar/related role.
• MSc or postgraduate diploma in Construction Law advantageous.
• Strong understanding of dispute resolution procedures and contract law principles.
• Experience preparing and assessing construction costs, claims and adjudication documentation.
• Experience with Standard Forms of Contract (JCT/NEC/FIDIC).
• Experience drafting Expert Witness Reports preferred.
• Proven track record of building and managing client relationships.
• UK resident with full UK working rights; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial, contractual and strategic advice across all project stages.
• Conduct forensic analysis of tender, contract and claims documentation.
• Prepare claims for loss and expense and adjudication documentation.
• Draft reports outlining processes, conclusions and recommendations.
• Support dispute resolution including adjudication, arbitration and litigation support.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships via high-quality consultancy services.
